We emphasize the importance of authentic Indigenous representation in the art and fashion industry. Indigenous Peoples Day 2023

	On October 10, 2023, The City of Phoenix, Arizona officially declared Indigenous Peoples Day as a city holiday. To celebrate, we designed garments including an exclusive t-shirt commemorating the holiday with proceeds benefiting Native American Connections, a non-profit supporting Phoenix’s Native Community. The collection and celebration was held at Now or Never, downtown Phoenix.

Heresy x Bad Jimmy’s

	
	In March 2024, Homeland collaborated with Gila River Hardcore band Heresy. With the hardcore scene in a resurgance, Heresy has grown a massive following within the southwest. Together, we organized a free concert showcasing the incredible talent of Arizona bands with an afterparty at Arizona burger staple, Bad Jimmy’s. With over 300 in attendance, we sold out of t-shirts with 100% proceeds going to the Gila River Indian Community Boys &#38;amp; Girls Club. Bad Jimmy’s also donated to the GRIC Boys and Girls Club.

Hat Club x Homeland

Hat Club approached Homeland to collaborate for their Arizona Exclusive market. We chose to focus on Arizona Reservation schools with large Indigenous representation, community support, and who nurture their baseball and softball programs. We reworked Arizona Diamondbacks with the color palettes of:

 Tuba City Unified School District for "Warrior Green”
Window Rock Unified School District for "Scouts Blue" 
Alchesay High School for the “White River”
A total 160 hats, 150 t-shirts, and 50 enamel pins were made. Everything sold out in one hour.
It was important to have the community members, athletes and coaches interact, wear, and put their finger prints on the hats. Their reaction to a campaign such as this is what made the project truly special

South West Drop


After the success of the Homeland x Hat Club collaboration, Hat Club reached out to us for creative direction on their Southwest drop. They trusted us to properly represent the Indigenous communities of the south west. We chose Madi of ShyNatives and Ray of Kréto to model this collection because they represent the hard working creative Indigenous folks of the southwest.

	Commodity foods have long been part of everyday life in many Native households, shaped by a painful history tied to forced relocation, government restrictions, and the loss of traditional food systems. For the Blackfeet Nation and many others, these goods became both a reminder of hardship and a means of survival.


From those staples came creative adaptations like Frybread, reflecting the resilience and ingenuity of our people. Growing up with these products in the pantry, I wanted to share a small piece of that experience with musicians.


Commodity Fuzz is a nod to that history: a reminder that even what was meant to diminish us became part of a story of creativity, adaptation, and strength.

	I was given the opportunity to design a shirt for one our favorite local record stores, Zia Records. As a vinyl collector, I’ve found many Native gems in the bins of Zia Records. This design is a nod to all the Native music that has been recorded independently, self-produced, and distributed in and around Phoenix, Tucson, and Arizona for the last 50+ years. I grew up seeing my family wear the t-shirts of Drumbeat Indian Arts, a Phoenix Indian store, which no longer exists, that distributed and sold Native music and art. I wanted to catch the essence of the artwork that lived on those shirts.
The fact Zia Records takes the name from the Zia Pueblo people of New Mexico, I felt there had to be an acknowledgement of Indigenous identity as well as it’s contributions to music and culture. The orange and blue colors are inpsired from the pottery of the Zia Pueblo people.

	In collaboration with New York City’s Mister Bandana, we designed several bandanas drawing from the textile designs of Indigenous people of the plains and southwest areas of country. We also took inspiration from the timeless looks of 1960’s and 1970’s bandanas, especially those worn by Indigenous folks of the time.

		<description>AMC Network’s Dark Winds

The Dark Winds series is based on Tony Hillerman’s Navajo Policeman novels. The AMC and AMC+ adaptation provides a more accurate depiction of Navajo culture and lifestyle. These illustrations were commissioned for the Dark Winds merchandise on the AMC web shop. They are inspired by my personal relationships with actual Navajo policemen while growing up on the Navajo Nation.
