NATIVEAUDIO

Being an avid guitar player, I jumped at the opportunity to work with NativeAudio, a native-owned effect pedal company founded by Mike Trombley, an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Nation.

NativeAudio is committed to keeping Native American culture alive while also inspiring musicians to connect with their art in a more meaningful and creative way.

Commodity foods have long been part of everyday life in many Native households, shaped by a painful history tied to forced relocation, government restrictions, and the loss of traditional food systems. For the Blackfeet Nation and many others, these goods became both a reminder of hardship and a means of survival.

From those staples came creative adaptations like Frybread, reflecting the resilience and ingenuity of our people. Growing up with these products in the pantry, I wanted to share a small piece of that experience with musicians.

Commodity Fuzz is a nod to that history: a reminder that even what was meant to diminish us became part of a story of creativity, adaptation, and strength.
